As of January 1, 2007, adoption fees
are $175 for a Pyr over a year old, and $200 for a Pyr under a year.
SPIN, Inc is comprised
of caring, dedicated Pyrenees families, who provide loving foster homes to the
less fortunate of the breed, until approved adoptions can be carried
out. SPIN, Inc is located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and we currently
cover the North Central and North East corner of the state. Our rescued Gentle
Giants come to us from many different sources, including but not limited to,
shelters, abusive homes, owner release, and strays.
Each Pyr that we rescue is treated with the complete Veterinary care, including heartworm testing and prevention or treatment, spay/neuter, and annual vaccinations. Personality and character evaluations are completed prior to consideration for adoption. Every precaution is taken to ensure the right dog is placed in the right home.

SPIN is dedicated to the rescue and rehoming
of this marvelous breed lovingly known as "Big White Dogs" and
also to working in harmony with all other groups who work so diligently
on their behalf. When we receive an application for one of our foster
angels we will contact that applicants local rescue to inquire if that
group would have a dog that would work for the applicant and if they
would work with them. If the local group does not have a suitable foster
then we ask if they would welcome the addition of a Texas Big White Dog
from the SPIN family to their home state before shipping him or her off
on the journey of a lifetime. We here at SPIN also strive to work very
closely with all other Pyr groups in any and all ways possible to keep
as many of these wonderful dogs from harm's way as we can.
There are 45 cats and
dogs for every person born. Only 1 out of 10 dogs born ever get
a home. Only 1 out of 12 cats born ever find a home. 800 dogs & cats
are KILLED each HOUR in the U.S, because there are not enough
