Gypsy

This is not your usual Happy Tail. This is both a good-bye and a tribute to a sweet baby.

IN MEMORY OF GYPSY

This sweet little angel never really had a chance. She and her siblings were rescued by SPIN and the world seem bright and promising and then days later that same world began crashing down.

You see Gypsy and her little family were already infected with the dreaded Parvovirus before SPIN came to their rescue. Parvo is a word that strikes fear in the heart of any dog lover anywhere AND it is so preventable. This baby could have had a bright and shining future if the people who were originally responsible for her being here at all had been responsible enough to get them immunized - a simple shot most times costing less than the price of a 12-pack.

With sadness and tears we helped to escort this sweet one to the Rainbow Bridge on 8/8/07 where she joins one of her brothers who made his journey only 1 night before. She will be hale, hearty and healthy as she romps and plays with those who have gone on before her but some earthbound family has missed the most wonderful thing that could have ever blessed their lives.

Please do not let her death be in vain. Please tell everyone who will listen about the importance of immunization for our fur-covered angels. These priceless additions to our mundane world look to us to provide for them, their eyes shine with love and trust when they gaze at us and all we need to do is provide them with the necessary basics which MUST include protection against totally preventable diseases.

May the angels bless and keep you sweet babies until we meet you again at the Bridge.
